A little CFC Youth Report

Chelsea Youngsters
This piece will aim to focus on the great youngster we are lucky to have at Chelsea. I'll only be writing about the players who are currently aged 23 or under, otherwise we could be here all day.

We are blessed at the amount of amazing youngsters we have under contract at Chelsea. Many already play for the first team and some out on loan still learning their trade. One day, they should all be part of a great Chelsea squad with even more new faces.

Will someone please tell Lukaku to Put up or SHUT UP!
For the second time running, Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian 19-year old young prodigy has occupied the headlines in the media for all the wrong reasons as far as Chelsea is concerned. Lukaku demands Premier League Football

Lukaku demands Premier League Football
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says he would only accept a loan move away from Stamford Bridge if it were to another Premier League club. The 19-year-old is the subject of an approach from Fulham over such a deal, with a season-long switch abroad not an option for the youngster, who has insisted he 'must play' first-team football in 2012/13.

Lukaku moved to Stamford Bridge in 2011 and made 12 appearances without scoring in his debut campaign, but has been impressive in pre-season and has previously declared his desire to represent the club throughout his whole career.

Where Is The Weakness In Our Team and What more we need to buy?

Where is the weakness in our team?

So far this summer, we have recruited 4 new players and three of them will almost certainly feature for the first team.  However, we still need to buy a couple more to improve our squad. But where exactly do we need to improve? Let's take a look at the areas where we can improve:-

Chelsea's tour of the US: What we have learned so far

Chelsea's tour of the US has been an eventful one so far. The team have played 2 matches & we have 2 more matches to play. While Chelsea recorded a convincing win against the Seattle Sounders, beating them 4-2, we could only manage a 1-1 draw against PSG.
2 pre-season matches is hardly enough to judge a team, but I'm going to attempt to do just that. Here's a look at what we have learnt about Chelsea during our tour of the US:-

Why Lukaku's anger will be Chelsea's gain!

Romelu Lukaku said in the week following the biggest night in Chelsea's history, that he felt no joy in our Champions League and FA Cup wins, due to the insignificant role he played. Not in the squad for the Champions League campaign, and barely featuring in the FA Cup (if ever), this should be treated as good news for Chelsea fans and not as Lukaku simply throwing his toys out of his prams.

The initial reaction to such a statement would be one of disgust and maybe even thinking that Lukaku isn't a team player, and doesn't care about the club. This would be unfair and untrue to think this. Lukaku has been a Chelsea fan for many years, and had wanted to play for the club for many years. When at school, he even came to Stamford Bridge on a tour and said that he would play for the club at some point.
