The New Era At SW6 and Who All Will Be A Part Of It?

We went down at times, we were written off mostly, we were told this is the worst time at the Bridge and some labelled the Club and its players as fallen heroes and warriors. And against all odds we conquered Europe with our motivation and never say die attitude. The beauty was in grinding out results out of nowhere. Yes people and the media did critisice but despite this intense scrutiny we got a DOUBLE from a team which was called old and had nothing much left in it. This was because of some huge characters and one man to whom the credit has to be given that is RDM.
Everyone rose up and put in 110% and achieved something truly remarkable...
Characters like Drogba,Cech,JT,Lampard,Cole and some inspirational talent by Mata,Ramires,Mikel and Torres scoring when it mattered the most. Well we are missing some names but all in all the credit goes to the whole team. And now here we are with some key figures and some not so key figures set to leave the club. Ok players come and go that’s fine but as a club there is not an iota of a doubt that we require rebuilding. Yes its necessary really necessary if a new chapter has to be written in the history books and also to START A NEW ERA AT CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB. The Terry’s,the Lampard’s yes they are all still here and some will most probably retire at the Club as legends.

A new generation of footballers is there at the grassroots level of the club and also at the top most level. With the services of one of the World’s most gifted and talented player alredy secured in Eden Hazard more is expected. And these signings of big names and talented super stars is being done just at the right time. And  now RDM  has got the full backing of Roman and has been rewarded with a 2 year contract. RDM's appointment is a sign that the club wants stability as well. They could have got a hot-shot manager but they didn't which is just the right decision.

The Club is on the back of another Historical Double but our domestic form was dismal and morbid last term. And the ever growing competition with the likes of PSG,Man City, Juventus, Dortmund a star studded squad mixed with experienced club legends is a must. And we are lucky enough because we are walking on just the right track..

Let’s see individually how each department of players will line up next season and who is staying and who is joining-

GOALKEEPERS

Petr Cech rose to the occasion in style for the Champions League final, with his heroics in the penalty shoot-out against Bayern Munich proving vital to their historic victory. After an indifferent first few months of the season where some of his mistakes cost Chelsea a few points, Petr Cech rediscovered his 2005 form. He is without a doubt one the world’s best goalkeepers, and now Cech is firmly established and last month he signed a new contract until 2016 in a clear statement from both parties that he will still be around for a while yet.Thibaut Courtois is on the club's books along with Ross Turnbull and Hilario but the Czech Republic shot stopper is almost certain to be the main man between the sticks for 2012-13 and the years to come. Special, Courtois one for the future...

DEFENCE
Bransilav Ivanovic-The Serbian colossus has made quite a name for himself since Hiddink’s days who has established himself as the first-choice in that position at Stamford Bridge as well as playing in the middle. Jose Bosingwa, a player who perhaps has more flair than the Serbia defender but suffers from inconsistency and defensive lapses, will be released in the summer.Special

The other three positions in the back four are less uncertain. Ashley Cole is one of the top left-backs in world football and club captain John Terry is a certain pick in central defence when he is fully fit. Cahill is the most likely to be the former England skipper's first-choice partner, with an improving David Luiz providing stiff competition

JT- Natural leader, his presence only is majestic.Special will retire at the club.

Ashley Cole- One of the best left backs in current era; Special will retire at the club

Garry Cahill- Stopping and battling with the likes of Messi, Gomes, Adebayor, Van-Persie he has proved his doubters wrong; Special

David Luiz- Mostly he was in limelight for his mistakes but Di Matteo taught got him back to the basics and we all know how capable he is; Special

Ryan Bertrand- RDM putting faith in him and playing a gamble in Munich just worked well.Has immense potential needs to play more games and will be the perfect replacement for Ashley Cole in the near future.

It appears the Blues are still keen to go shopping in that position - throughout January they were rumoured to be in for Cesar Azpilicueta of Marseille, while another candidate is Gregory van der Wiel. The talented Ajax full-back was quizzed earlier this month on the talk of a move to Stamford Bridge and admitted he would be interested in joining a club he described as "beautiful".Van der Wiel could represent a cheaper purchase but still be a quality addition to the squad and would surely be in contention with Ivanovic for a starting spot next season.

MIDFIELD

The Blues look likely to deploy the classic 4-2-3-1 (or maybe a diamond formation) next season, meaning there will be two deeper based midfielders protecting the back four and supporting the forward players where possible. I won’t say much about Raul Meirieles and Michael Essien instead I would request you to read this
Ramires- has impressed in his first two seasons since arriving. And what a player he is turning out to be. He has the stamina of a monster, runs like Speedy Gonzales and comes with the skills that are intrinsic to Brazilians, someone Chelsea can benefit from for a long, long time and with his intense pace and ability to past defenders the Brazilian’s boundless energy and versatility make him a must-pick for any side and the Blues certainly have him in their long-term plans; Special

Frank Lampard – Frank has missed the Euro 2012 through injury but [oved his doubters wrong at club level by playing a key part in our Champions League success. Frank has rediscovered himself in a holding role alongside Mikel, and his fantastic passing from deep, like against Barcelona, will prove to be an invaluable, age-independent asset. Not a bad tackler either, so he could hold down that spot for a couple of years yet; Special will retire at the club

John Obi Mikel- Under Robbie,Mikel looked like a truly new born player. How well he played in Munich in that holding role that was remarkable and maybe the best game he ever played in Chelsea Blue. His other important performances showed that he is the perfect solution for Chelsea’s midfiled problems. Yes he makes the play little slow and the tempo drops down as well but if Chelsea need someone who can defend from the midfield and frustate the other teams attackers Mikel is the right man. ;Special

Oriol Romeu- Our midfield is piled with quality and experience, and though Oriol doesn’t really lack either, he will, like Bertrand, have to suffer the unfortunate consequence of being a good player in an excellent squad. He is a graduate from the best footballing school in the world and the lad is composed both on and off the ball.He can run the midfield from a withdrawn role once Frank and Essien decide to call time on their careers; For the future

Luka Modrić- This is a name which every CFC fan is aware of. The Blues tried to bring him in last season but unfortunately the move didn't materialize. With the player expected of submitting a transfer request soon he could be on his way out of White Hart Lane. And we all know what abilities he possesses as a player. He'll make the Blues midfield more sophisticated and will make it really dynamic; Could be special if he joins

ATTACK
Further on, both Mata - last season's big signing - and Hazard are capable of interchanging and playing either behind the main striker or on the left-hand side, giving them fluidity in attack.Hazard has indicated he would like to play the No.10 role and Chelsea will want him to be a key man, meaning the Spaniard may have to settle to being pushed back out wide after being deployed more centrally towards the end of the last campaign; Both are extremely special
Daniel Sturridge- Danny played 41 times in total last season and scored a decent 13 goals and made 7 assists. But he didn’t play any role in the two finals we played and that kind of offended him some may say. With now Hazard and Marin in the squad CFC might let him go if hw wants to. Well its being reported that Liverpool and Man City want Sturridge and Arsenal also there somewhere in the mix if he goes I don’t think there will be any love lost between him or the Chelsea faithful its upto Danny if he wants to continue with the reigning European Champions or not; Unsettled future

Fernando Torres- El Niño looked like his old self in the latter part of the season. He looked confident, was shooting well, personally I felt that prolificness had returned. His awesome strikes against QPR,Aston Villa, Barcelona showed that Torres is recovering and finding form again. Plus the presence of Mata and Hazard in the squad would be melodious to Nando's ears. And his recent performances for the National Team show that Torres is carrying forward where he left for the Blues and next season could be his for the taking: Still Special
The signing of Hulk also looks set to be completed in the weeks ahead and the physical nature of the Brazilian could mean he is ideally suited to the Premier League. His strengths lie in cutting in from the right and powering in shots with his left foot;Could fill the void King Didier left.

Marko Marin is another new addition to take into account for next season and, similarly to Hazard and Mata, is capable of playing out wide or centrally. Kevin de Bruyne also arrives, meaning whoever is managing the Blues will not be short of options out wide;Could be a super-sub.

A NEW ERA awaits for the European Champions...

Next season Chelsea will basically competing in 7 different competitions and honors. These were my views on what  the Chelsea  starting line up could look like in 2012-13 and I maybe missing some names here but I put in those names only which I felt would be apt and would be the   most strongest and balanced line up.

Firstly in the Community Shield,The Premier League,The Champions League,The FA Cup,The Carling Cup,The UEFA Super Cup and The FIFA Clubs World Cup. And such a big squad with big stars is exactly, what is needed to compete in for these trophies..And with the players we have and several new additions next season could be the begging of a whole NEW ERA AT Chelsea FC under RDM.

KTBFFH till then as always....

  3. It'll be very interesting to see Marko Marin, Mata, Hazard and D'Bryune compete for places in the team. They would automatically improve their game.

  4. Great Article, but you really don't know about CFC's transfer targets I mean they might go for anyone :P Rondon, Shurlle are the best candidates to replace Drogba.
