POTENTIAL CHELSEA TARGET HIGUAIN MIGHT LEAVE MADRID

Higuain could be a good addition in Chelsea's attack as the rebuilding process continues...
In the previous months reports from the UK and Spain suggested that Chelsea are targeting Real Madrid ace Gonzalo Higuain to add in their attack.Higuain is rated somewhere between £30m to £35m. Many other top clubs want to lure Higuain away from the Santiago Bernabéu.With negotiations still not over for the transfer of Hulk, Higuain could be a candidate to be considered for the Blues.

Able to play as a striker, Higuaín "is known for his speed in the last third of the pitch and his great striking ability. The South American international who partners Lionel Messi in attack for Argentina is one of the most top rated strikers throughout Europe and is being chased by clubs like- PSG,Dortmund,Anzhi and Man City.

Past reports from The Sun suggested that Higuan was on top of Chelsea’s shopping list. The report from the sun read-
A top Chelsea source revealed: “Higuain is top of the shopping list. He has a phenomenal goalscoring record for Real and for Argentina but he helps make lots of goals too.
“He would be perfect for us, the sort of player who would thrive in the Premier League.”
Higuain’s strike record is impressive. He has scored 25 goals in 51 games this season with eight assists.

And in his three seasons in Spain he has netted 102 times in just 217 outings, with 35 assists.

Higuain scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s 4–1 win over South Korea in the 2010 World Cup finals.

He was the first player to score a hat-trick in the tournament since 2002. His Real team mate Karim Benzema insists that Pipita Higuain isn’t going anywhere and has stay put at Madrid.

Benzema insists Higuain has no plans to leave the Bernabeu, telling AS: "Now he is with the Argentina national team and I hope that he will stay. Madrid insist they want Higuain to stay at the club next season, with former boss  Jose Mourinho stating also last month that he was not for sale.

"He has no intention to go, not to PSG or any other club. He must rest because he is a very important player for us."

Last week the Daily Mail reported that intermediaries acting on Tottenham's behalf sounded out the Argentina international above a move to White Hart Lane, only to be told that he was keen on staying in Spain.

Higuain's agent and father, Jorge, earlier this year admitted that joining either Chelsea or Juventus would be a "great opportunity" for the forward.

Higuain struggled to earn a starting place in Mourinho's side last season, and after the final game of the La Liga season refused to rule out a move away from the Spanish capital.

"I have come home to rest and my future, well, we'll see what happens," he said after fans gave him a standing ovation during the 4-1 win over Mallorca.

"I was just thrilled that 80,000 people told me that I should stay."

Higuain is yet to make up his mind fully and is the bookies favorite to part company with Madrid. With his incredible shooting ability and vision for key and match changing passed he could be an important addition to the patched up Chelsea squad.
