Malouda made to train with U21s |
In a move reminiscent of how Nicolas Anelka and Alex were treated last season, Florent Malouda has been told that he will train with the U21s team.
Malouda announced via Twitter that he would be keeping fit with the Chelsea youth squad as he posted a picture of the headquarters of the club's under-21 side, along with the message: "This is where I'll train for my last season with the blues !!!"
The 32-year-old, who was linked with a return to former club Lyon before the transfer window slammed shut in France on Tuesday night, has not featured in any of the Blues' matchday squads this term and has been left off their list of players for the Champions League group stages.
Despite interest from a number of clubs, Malouda did not finalise a move before the end of the transfer window, with his wage demands rumoured to be a barrier to a move.
For Malouda to have been banished to train with the under 21's clearly shows that the club is not interested in his services and he might have probably scuttled any attempts to sell him. I think this will probably force him to leave in January.
I remember when Andre Villas Boas told Nicloas Anelka & Alex to train with the youth team last season, Both players had submitted transfer requests in December and, having been moved to the academy building, were duly sold to Shanghai Shenhua and Paris St Germain respectively.

Malouda immediately rewarded the Blues for their faith in him with a brilliant 2009/10 season which saw Chelsea earn the league and cup double for the the first time in their history, Scored 15 goals, Made 15 assists and won the Chelsea Players' Player of the Year: 2009–10.
He was also superb for the first few months of Carlo Ancelotti's second year with the club.
All i can say that i really don't like the way the boardroom treat our players & i say thanks to Florent Malouda and good luck.
in deed Malouda refuse all new offer that less than his actual wage deal with Chelsea , witch is he looking only to amount of money he receive and no more so it is fear enough to play with under 21 team
