Possible January Targets |
ATTACK
Radamel Falcao
The Columbian from Atletico Madrid is regarded as the best striker out and out in the world at the moment and has the goalscoring record to go with it. He is currently equal top with Lionel Messi for the most amount of goals in La Liga. His club look sure to lose him in the coming transfer window and have put a 60 million euro price tag on him. Many top clubs are interested including Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid and PSG. Roman could pay this fee but according toESPN a "Chelsea Insider" has said that Chelsea will not pay that amount of money again for a player, referring to Fernando Torres 50 million pound price tag. Is this information fact or fiction? Will Falcao be a Chelsea player soon? We will just have to wait and see
Neymar
The extremely talented Brazilian from Santos is again been in the headlines recently to do with his transfer to Europe. Firstly it was revealed our number 11 and fellow Brazilian Oscar was trying to convince Neymar to join him at Stamford Bridge. Then the Santos manager urged Neymar to move to Europe as soon as possible due to the bad treatment he was receiving from referees in brazil. Brazilian legends Rivaldo and Ronaldo also urged Neymar to come to Europe sooner rather than later. This means Neymar could leave as early as this January but Barcelona have said that Santos will owe them 80 million pounds if Neymar goes to any other club than Barcelona due to a pre-contract. This pre-contract has been denied by Santos. Whether Neymar signed the pre-contract or not will decide whether he moves to Chelsea or any other club for that matter but the bottom line is he would be a perfect fit in the squad.
MIDFIELD
Marouane Fellaini
The Belgian from Everton has been in red hot form this season in midfield, being the heart of everything Everton does on the pitch but it looks like he will be moving on soon to bigger and better things. At the age of 24 he is just about the hit the peak years of his career and Chelsea are interested. With Lampard not getting any younger Fellaini is seen as a terrific replacement for him in central midfield. He would come for around the 20 million pound mark which is a lot of money, but not out of our reach.
DEFENCE
Sergio Ramos
Reports are still saying that all is not well in the Real Madrid camp and Sergio Ramos is at the heart of the conflict. Ramos could be offloaded this coming January but it would require around 40 million pounds which in my opinion is a very fair price-tag He is an absolute superstar defender and would be an ideal replace for John Terry in the future. He would definitely stop the few goals and opportunities we are leaking in defence.
Every1 is entitled to his opinion, but as for me with chelsea's style of play,I think it will be superb if we opt for neymar, falcao is just a stricker, but neymar is more complete than him,he also plys from both flanks and midfield, neymar will fit well into the false 9 thingy,he is young
ReplyDeleteWell said...operation get neymar...
ReplyDeleteFalcao is just a waste of money because any striker can thrive off the type of midfield Chelsea has, plus Falcao wouldn't be as hard working as Torres is now. He might score goals but he would only be a target man upfront waiting for service and wouldn't drop deep to assist a free flowing attacking to even open up space for others besides himself. There's strikers like Abel Fernandes from Palermo who's work rate is outstanding, the same goes for Higuain from Real Madrid. These strikers cost way less then Falcao and should be able to fit the new system Chelsea is looking to adapt to. We already have finishers in the squad like Mata,Hazard,Oscar and even Ramires was brilliant last season. Torres already acts as a false9 in some scenarios on the pitch. We have Cahill to fill Terry's boots already so Ramos would just be a luxury buy. Younger centre backs should then get the chance and learn from Luiz,Cahill and Ivanovic. Even Terry can still have an influence of young backs like Ake and Coombe at Cobham. Is Fella a deep laying playmaker? No. We don't need him. The only sensible purchase I would gladly welcome is Neymar because of his versatility and work rate. He can develop and improve alongside Oscar,Hazard,Mata,Piazon,Josh and become a formiddable force in England and Europe. Don't forget De Bruyne who can be the perfect fit as a deep laying playmaker, the same goes for Josh. The defensive part of midfield is sorted with Mikel,Romeu and Ramires who can even play alongside the two. In attack there's Oscar,Mata,Hazard,Piazon,Neymar,Torres and Sturridge. Most of these guys are so young and hungry, why would anyone want to hinder their chances by buying costly players while they can do a perfect job.
ReplyDeleteReally! any striker? Lol, don't we ever learn.
DeleteThank you Zane! Someone out here has an opinion like mine.
ReplyDeleteThere is no need for Roman to splash ome cash, if we really are in the market for another striker then let Neymar be our focus.
It is quite obvious what the right decision is when it comes to buying a striker Papie. People can't see that.
DeleteTorres,Sturridge as target men and Piazon,Neymar as false 9 options. Neymar is also a striker like Tevez, Aguero and Defoe, small built and clinical but more skilled and versatile.
DeleteWe don't learn from he past. Every time we have splashed on a star striker, we killed his career.
Delete1. Crespo
2. Mutu
3. Sheva
In all technicality, Torres falls in the same bracket for now. But he came with his poor form from loserpool and it has jut gotten worse. Let's hope that his current rise in form continues. I think he's more useful now as a working forward than as an out and out striker
We just need huntelaar in january.
ReplyDeletegreat one guys wat i can just surgest is dat we need nayman and fellaine................
ReplyDeleteneymar has a better chance playing for us. 1) With Barcelona its quite congested with fabregas pedro villa messi and i doubt he'd have a combination with messi
ReplyDelete2) With oscar their combination and freindship honestly counts for our gain.
3) Fortunately our team is flooded with brazilian international talent and i'm quite sure neymar will fit in just like oscar
actually get every1 on that list xcept falcao
DeleteWe don't need another midfielder or defender, just Neymar. And with Neymar its only if sturridge pushes to leave in jan, and lukaku doesn't wanna return from loan. We can develop other people like Piazon, he's been waiting for an oppertunity and if you look at the wolves demolition you'll see how good he is.
ReplyDeleteI vote 4 neymar, falcao is nt a waste of money, just dat neymar can help us α̲̅πϑ he is less pricey.
ReplyDeletePublic opinion carries the day. l pray the management of Chelsea look in the same direction. For Neymar to come to Chelsea is a matter of money and determination. It going to be a big hit!!!
ReplyDeleteWe need a lb after all the talk about ac leaving for p$g. not sure who but he at lest as to be at a reasonable standard and 1st team quality. Neymar would be an amazing addition but who's place will he take??
ReplyDeletePlease write an article about Yaya Touré and his possible move to Chelsea this coming January. I think it could be interesting to see what the readers think of it.
ReplyDeletewhat? have you got any sort of source to back this rumour up, or is this just an idea you've had?
DeleteI can't reply directly to you. Apparently Yaya's agent said that he has done and achieved enough at City, now he's looking to listen to big clubs like Chelsea,Bayern Munich etc. That isn't his exact work, can't remember it but Chelsea and Bayern's names was used by his agent. Check out news and rumours at kicknews.net.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm tired. I meant that wasn't his agent's exact words...not work.
ReplyDeletei believe we can go 4 Neymar, he will be a great addition coupled with the fact that there is no big star to threaten his establishment to greatness at chelsea ... messi of barca, ronaldo of real, ibrahimovic of psg,and neymar of chelsea with the likes of mata oscar hazard ramires and torres... and he will be a potential international marketing brand 4 chelsea with the sale of jerseys all around the world so bringing the money spent on him back sharply, his addition will not affect torres instead compliment him and he can play on both sides of the flank.... though falcao is a good buy and a very sharp attacker... his eventual inclusion will be good but i;ll prefer neymar with the kind of football chelsea play at the moment
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind us bringing in both Fellaini and Neymar. Lampard may not be with us come the end of the season so we do need to strengthen our midfield options and he would be a great choice. Fairly young and has ounces of talent. The same goes with Neymar, he can operate on either wing or down the centre and would Nando out only recognizable centre forward, Neymar would provide competition and be able to show the world what he can really do.
ReplyDeleteNaymar and Fellani will be great!
