Last time when I stated that Benzema, Dzeko and Jelavic were legitimate targets and that Chelsea should look into it, I received mixed reactions. Some liked the idea, others did not. I am going to do this again and am picking 3 completely different targets this time around. There are always more to look out than buy. This time around I'm looking at :
1. Demba Ba
2. Fernando Llorente
3. Klaas-Jan Hunterlaar
1. Demba Ba : Would be a great fit at Chelsea. While the Newcastle United striker wouldn't be a superstar, he would add depth to Chelsea's front line. He is a great finisher, and he would be very successful with Eden Hazard and Juan Mata feeding him the ball. Ba scored 16 goals in 32 Premier League starts last year, and Newcastle was a predominantly defensive team. Considering Chelsea will be pushing forward, Ba could improve upon that total.
2. Fernando Llorente : Llorente had netted 45 goals in the past two seasons before his slow start to the current campaign - where he has scored just the once. But despite the problems Athletic Bilbao are encountering this season (they sit 16th after seven games), Llorente is still very much the go-to man. His ability with his back to goal is almost unrivaled across Europe - an attribute that would serve him well in the Premier League, while his strength in the air would pose a threat that Chelsea could use along with his skill.
3. Klaas-Jan Hunterlaar : He's Dutch and he scores goals. What's not to like? On a serious note, Huntelaar offers different qualities to those of Robin van Persie. He is more of a rigid No.9; ready to pounce on any loose ball in the box and an absolute demon in the air. If Chelsea are looking for one of the most clinical finishers around at a very reasonable price, they could do much worse than speak to Schalke. After a great season at Schalke, Huntelaar has proven himself at the top level. Chelsea need a proven striker, and Huntelaar could be the man. He has a £17 million release clause in his contract, which looks like nothing after dealing with Hulk and Porto. Schalke will be reluctant to move him, but Chelsea will always have a chance to bring him in for the right price.
These 3 strikers are some of the options I would consider alongside Benzema, Jelavic and Dzeko. Our options aren't limited, but if we do sign a striker, it must be analyzed and a perfect fit. Those are the 3 men who I think would be great additions to the club as they bring something special and great to the table. I believe pursuing another striker would give us the depth of Manchester City and United up top. Pursue anyone you like, but these are my best fits!

ReplyDeleteLewandowski the best option!!!! Deadly finsher, great in air, great work rate, young (24) as the stress is on youth now and would be cheaper then falcao at £28-35mill!!!!!!!! Also would start a relationship with Dortmund i.e. Gotze! Why am I the only one saying this!!!!!!!!!!
