The much-anticipated London derby ended in massive heartbreak for Chelsea as the Blues squandered a 1-0 lead to end the match 3-1. The game was a perfect demonstration of Chelsea's inability to kill off games and today, they paid for it handsomely.
First half
Chelsea started the match positively, winning a corner in the 2nd minute of the game. Chelsea were playing well and passing the ball nicely, but weren't creating chances. The first real chance resulted in a goal. Moses put Torres through, whose cutback found Mata and the little Spaniard made no mistake with the finish. 1-0 with 13 mins gone. Moses should have made it 2-0 a few minutes later but squandered his effort. Torres had a half-chance when Ramires found him with a pass at the end of a lung-bursting run, but Torres shot over. Hazard also shot just over after he found a bit of space. Cech gave away a silly free-kick after handling outside the ball, but saved well after the free-kick. The half ended 0-1 to Chelsea.
Second half
West Ham took the game by the scruff of it's neck in the beginning of the 2nd half. Chelsea were often found penned inside their own half for long periods while West Ham attacked. Their persistence eventually paid off when Carlton Cole scored from a header, although it looked like Ivanovic had been fouled during play. The goal stood, and no one could say West Ham didn't deserve that equalizer. The Hammers, galvanized by the goal, pressed on for the win. Benitez brought on both Oscar and Marko Marin in quick succession in the hopes of winning the game. However, it wasn't meant to be. Diame, the man who had been inspirational for West Ham since coming on in the 2nd half, was found unmarked with a pass and slammed the ball past Cech. 2-1 with 86 mins gone. Chelsea tried hard to respond, but the game was well and truly killed off in stoppage time when Ashley Cole gave the ball away and the Hammers scored their 3rd. The match ended 3-1 to West Ham.

Our ONLY problem is to sack Torres. He was awful again, particularly in second half . Roman has brought disgrace to chelsea. Will he sack benitez?? This stupid owner sacks our hero RDM because of Torres.
ReplyDeleteTorres should go, unless we will continou playing as if we are one man down, RB shoul go too, I dislike him
ReplyDeleteDo you people see what a midfield boss does? Diamé should be playing for a top club amongst top players. Our midfield is a joke.
ReplyDeleteI wonder. That Diame guy was everywhere, buh Zane, I gotta ask, is that Diame guy consistent? Or was it just one of his good days? If he's consistent, how come he isn't at a top club?
DeleteI THINK WE SHOULD SELL MIKEL FOR DIAMI OR TIOTE,MIKEL IS OF NO USE IN MIDFIELD LOOK AT THE STRENGTH OF DIAMI THAT IS WHAT WE ARE MISSING IN OUR MIDFIELD,MIKEL DOES NOT LEARN NO SUPPORT 4 THE ATTACKERS NO THE DEFENCE.LUK TORRES ND MIKEL ARE ALL USELES AT CHELSEA STOP BLAMING RAFA.
ReplyDelete@Flenzy U were almost reasonable until u said we should stop blaming Rafa. Torres n Mikel re useless quite alright but Rafa is useless too.

ReplyDeleteMain Striker: Falcao or Robert Lewandoski
Defensive Mid-Fielder: Maroune Fellani
Left Back: Leighton Baines
We should also consider buying a World-Class centre back to strength our core defence.
And yes, Torres is hopeless while Mikel is just an average mid-fielder who can neither defend nor attack.
Recall Lukaku and De Bruyne. They would add a new dimension to our attack.
We need to buy at least two strikers because we are in a mess. Spent a lot of money on torres but he is rubbish since he cannot score. I know we are already out of champions league am sure Juventus will draw with shakter. Oh! how i wish di mateo was still in his post. Abramovich has destroyed the season for us by sucking dimateo. How can one seperate sugar from sand. I fear we may end up sixth on the table.
