HULKS Thretens to QUIT FC Porto and Incredibly Issues A COME AND GET ME Plea!
You may have thought FC Porto’s Hulk transfer saga has ended and to Chelsea fans our wish to see him don our blue colours is all but a mere pipe dream. Well, brace yourself for an interesting development from both Porto and Hulk’s camp. Earlier on Thursday, FC Porto president Pinto da Costa was quoted to have said according Sporting Life that “Hulk is a player with a buyout fee and if any club wants, him, they just need to pay that”. This line may not sound interesting and new to you since we are all well aware of the buyout clause of €100m inserted in Hulk's contract. What may sound quite interesting as the transfer saga ensues is Pinto da Costa’s softened position when he said
“HE WILL ONLY LEAVE IF IT INTERESTS BOTH PORTO AND PLAYER BUT SO FAR NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO MAKE ME THINK WE’LL REACH THAT POINT. THEREFORE, I EXPECT THAT FOR THE SEASON HE WILL REMAIN A PORTO PLAYER.”
The claims made by Pinto da Costa “he will remain a Porto player” in the first place appear in conflict with Hulk’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca’s interview with Radio Renascenca that “Hulk has a contract. He likes Porto but at the moment everything has a question mark.” He further on advised Porto that “We sometimes want a player to stay but the conditions aren’t the best. Everything is possible in the world of football.”

For the first time, Hulk as openly declared his interest to quit FC Porto to join a top league in the world like the “Premier League or the La Liga”. In an interview which was granted to the media after the Olympic game football final against Mexico where the Explosive Brazilian forward was a super substitute by scoring Brazil’s consolation goal in their 2-1 defeat, Hulk incredibly declared himself available for transfer. He further went on to choose the EPL and La Liga as the two leagues of his interest since it has the ability to showcase his talent to the massive viewing public it commands in the world.

Hulk poured his outburst that “I have left a door opened for being transferred to another league,” Hulk told reporters according to ESPN “I have preference for playing in the Premier League or the Spanish La Liga, because they are the two leagues that are the most seen all over the world.” This statement by Hulk unequivocally makes nonsense of the reported €50m Euro bid by a Russian club, Zenit St. Petersburg and even PSG’s interest. He continues “I didn’t talk too much with my agent about the chance of being transferred, because I have been on duty with the Brazilian national team at the Olympics. This could be the time for me to move. I would feel comfortable with moving clubs and the English league is one that appeals to me”

Hulk also hinted a transfer showdown with FC Porto this week that “I am going to talk about  my future from Monday, he further added as usual that “My future is in the hands of God” which further ridicules the stance of Pinto da Costa who predicts Hulk’s future is with Porto.

It was reported in the weekend by IBMTimes that Chelsea has a preliminary personal agreement with Hulk and the only thing left is Porto’ unreadiness to agree a fee with Chelsea. The Mirror on Sunday revealed that Chelsea has had a bid of £30m rejected and the “strain relationship” between Porto and Chelsea makes a deal difficult. However, whiles the Olympic Games have ended and Hulk has openly declared his readiness to quit FC Porto, a deal could soon be on the cards for his transfer in the upcoming days. We can only hope that the imminent transfer of Hulk could be to Chelsea’s advantage. He has more than shown to the world that he is a top player who can strengthen every team in the world and our match against Manchester City has shown that our current team needs a revamp by a top player in the ilk of Hulk who can complement Fernando Torres.
