Schurrle not joining Chelsea: Should we care?

 No Chelsea move?

Bayer Leverkusen general manager Rudi Voller has ruled out the sale of Andre Schurrle to Chelsea. The 21-year old Germany international has been linked with the Blues in recent weeks but Voller has made it clear that he will not be departing the BayArena.

"There is no alternative to the decision of not selling Andre Schurrle," Voller told kicker-Sportmagazi. "We are unable to sign a replacement. Those adequate players that are available are too expensive and therefore we would be forced to sign a weaker player overpriced. The matter is over with and I have also told Andre so."
Leverkusen director Wolfgang Holzhauser added,
"We have not received any new bid from Chelsea for Andre Schurrle. And we really do not want to talk about this topic anymore."
Schurrle is an extremely talented and bright player to invest in and can be used either as a second striker or on the right wing. Chelsea reportedly made a £21M bid which was rejected by Bayern Leverkusen. At one point of time it seemed as if Chelsea would make a second bid around £23-24M and would sign Schurrle but with this statement from Wolfgang this transfer seems to be more than over.

However, the market is still full of exciting young players so if its not Schurrle there is definitely another talent. Chelsea are expected to make 3 signings before the end of of the transfer market and these 3 signings would be a Creative Midfielder which most probably seems to be Oscar, a Right Back which is still unclear and a Second Striker.

Lets hope Chelsea fish out the best deals from the transfer market and untill next time, KTBFFH!

  1. three more signing will make the team perfect and becomes the dreadful squad to fear both in England and Euro. Blue for life.
