Does A Move For Moses Signify The End Of Hulk Pursuit? |
The Blues’ transfer saga of the summer seemed to be wrapped up before the closure of the window after personal terms were reportedly agreed and the two clubs we’re on the verge of agreeing a deal. However, despite Hulk making his desire to leave the Portuguese club public, it seems a deal is not to happen this window after Porto have repeatedly presented a stubborn attitude towards negotiations.
It seems the Blues have decided to abandon a deal, opting to sign Moses for about a quarter of Hulk’s potential price tag at £9million, a decent fee for a 21 year old already proven in the Premier League. The two wingers have very similar characteristics: pacy, strong, and skilful on the ball; more than able to cause problems for defenses. Despite how desperate I was for the Blues to secure the signature to Hulk at the beginning of the transfer window, a move for Moses certainly looks more worthwhile; the fee not astronomical for a reliable, proven Premier League player who, at the age of 21, is no where near his peak.and has a lot to offer in the future.
So yes, maybe this does mean the end of Chelsea’s pursuit of Hulk, but frankly, I don’t really mind. Welcome to Stamford Bridge, Victor.

I still want Hulk. Moses would be the perfect substitute
ReplyDeleteDid you see Hulk at the Olympics? He is an average player with over-priced tag. Also, he is yet unproven at EPL. Moses is much better than Hulk. I can see Moses and Marin cover at left wing. He may be a regular starter.
DeleteIf Sturridge leaves, I want Chelsea to sign Cavani.
Hulk was the best of the brazil team. He was the only one that played at a top level. Besides, for a highly physical league as the EPL, Hulk would be perfect.
DeleteCavani is good, but I don't think he can play here, again, by the physical reason.
We need a FAST, STRONG, POWERFUL striker/winger.
In any case, Jesus Navas is lightning fast, and very skillful. Not to mention it would be much cheaper than Cavani or Hulk.
Oops, I don't think so. He was on the bench or substitution for 2-3 matches for Brazil during Olympics. He was the best of the Brazil team??? Are you kidding? Neymar and Oscar are now the best of Brazil team in the positions they played. Hulk is only a good player, nothing else.
DeleteWe don need that 100mil hulk , Moses had proved himself in the EPL .. We need cavani to fill in the gaps left by drogba to compete for CL.. Sell yossi, Malouda and loan kakuta .
ReplyDeleteYeah Cavani or Falcao will do better! Victor is better than Hulk
DeleteHulk is only better than Moses when it comes to scoring goals and assist because he has better shot power/ accuracy and experience. In terms of skill and pace, they are alike. I do not know Hulks record at age 21 though but I know Moses would improve. Moses is a big game player so we should not be scared. Hulk ended up as a good substitute at the olympics but we don't have to worry about that, do we.
ReplyDeleteWe dont need hulk any longer. All we need now is Cavani or falcao and we will be more dan invisible.
ReplyDeleteCome to think about it, Hazard played for Lille while Hulk is playing for FC Porto. In contrast, Moses played for Wigan. It would be very unfair to compare these players with Moses because of the level of squad ambition. The training facilities, training coaches and quality of team mates are obviously different. You only get to your full potential when you have these advantages. Only one of Hazard's assist so far has been a tap in assist. That rather shows the quality of Chelsea as a team as well as hazard. This is the First time Moses would be playing for a club with title ambitions. This is rather his beginning as it shows that he is in a class of his own.
ReplyDeleteMoses has a lot to offer the work load and pressure will be reduce from toress which means he will enjoy himself on d pitch
ReplyDeleteCAVANI WILL BE BETTER IF CHELSEA WILL NEED ANOTHER ATTACKING PLAYER.
ReplyDeleteDon't need another striker who thinks he should be first choice, Torres will just be in the shadow/ looking over his shoulder which he doesn't need now that he is proving worth the start. Chelsea need someone like Jovetic or a striker like that who is a good player to have if Torres can't go but won't threaten his number one status.
ReplyDelete3 goals in 4 games plus a goal line clearance. Can we really fault the Euro golden boot winner? It pains me that he doesn't take penalties cuz I can see a lot of them coming. Sturidge is a very good striker and he is premier league proven.
ReplyDeleteMoses is 21 dats young he will improve and is a good option as Marin although brilliant is injury prone dat cn be seen in his career before and evn nw he is out bt Moses is physically stronger and anyone who watched da first match against Wigan will say dat he had created problems fr our defence more than once dat shows he will be good & I find him best at da price he has come so I feel he will be one to look fr this season along wth da other big money signings
ReplyDeleteHulk was not the best player for Brazil during the olympics. Not sure if he would even make top 3. Damiao was the main goal threat while Neymar and Oscar handled the attacking midfield. Think Pato is more dangerous than Hulk.
ReplyDeleteHulk was the most worst player for brazil at the olympics after rafeal.. Moura would have done better IMO

ReplyDeletemoses is also good for chelsea cause his strong he can hold a ball he can go through i think is a good disition that chelsea made and they wont regret it
