Chelsea FC have confirmed that Yossi Benayoun has joined West Ham on loan.
The loan deal is not a season-long one, but lasts till January. West Ham will have an option of extending the loan deal till the end of the season depending on his performances, of course.
No one is surprised that Yossi has gone out on loan once again. He didn't fit into AVB's plans last season, & it seemed pretty clear that he wouldn't be a part of Di Matteo's plans this season either. The former Liverpool man has struggled for first-team football ever since he joined Chelsea, & it now seems very clear that his future lies elsewhere.
Benayoun spent the whole of last season on loan to Arsenal, making 25 appearances & scoring 6 goals in the process. He did take part in Chelsea's pre-season tour to the US, but it was known that he wouldn't be a regular under Robbie.
