Match Report : Tottenham 2 - 4 Chelsea

Match Report : Tottenham 2 - 4 Chelsea
Chelsea XI - Cech - Cole, Luiz, Cahill, Ivanovc - Ramires, Mikel - Mata, Oscar, Hazard - Torres

Substitutes - Sturridge and Lampard

Goals - Cahill (1) , Mata (2) , Sturridge (1)

Chelsea were in top form as they downed a spirited Tottenham team who led on by the instructions of former Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas, failed to secure any points. A decisive win for the blues and decisive performance from Juan Mata.

Gary Cahill scored a spectacular volley after a corner was headed out from William Gallas. Chelsea dominated early possession but could not make any clear chances. Gallas had a good chance early on and the boys in white played well at the end of the first half. Cahill and Luiz made it look like they didn't even need John Terry to help them.

After the start of the second half Tottenham answered back with two goals in quick succession from Gallas and Defoe. Gallas who played over 200 games for Chelsea was not well received by the Chelsea faithful and his goal had suspicions of handling. The pass annihilated Chelsea's man-marking system.

With Chelsea trailing 2-1, the big boys had to step up . Mata scored twice after good exchanges with Hazard and Oscar. He then tee'd up for Sturridge on the far right corner after stealing the ball from Walker.

Chelsea were good at corners and at hitting Tottenham on the break. Overall a good result which included beautiful football.

Come on Chelsea ! Carefree since 1905.

  1. The most nerve wrecking game of the season for me before Sturridge sealed the win. You just have to love the winning mentality and never give up spirit by our boys. Good win for us. Now just waiting for your tactical review Sherry.

    2. Yeps can't wait sherry... Wanna see how you analyse mazarcar ramikel movement. But I wonder what torres was doing with the ball that long to allow sandro or whoever to nick the ball away.
