What is our Strongest Line-up |
Striker: Fernando Torres
The Spanaird seems to be regaining his goalscoring form this season and is linking up well with the 3 players in behind him. He is our main target man and really our only option up front other than Daniel Sturridge. Torres has shown this season he can deliver in big games with critical goals against Newcastle and Arsenal.
Left Wing: Eden Hazard
The Belgian has been on fire since joining Chelsea in the summer being involved in almost every goal we have scored. He provides flair and can turn the game on its head with a piece on magic. He is one of the first names in the line-up each week and has so far justified his hefty price-tag.
Centre Attacking Midfield: Oscar
The Brazilian had one of the most memorable debuts to date with 2 goals against Italian Champions Juventus. The 21 year old is terrific going forward and i very comfortable in possession. He is adapting nicely to the type of football played in the EPL. He is also terrific at playing a defensive tagging role on the oppositions deep creators completely eliminating the threat posed by Pirlo and Arteta.
Right Wing: Juan Mata
Even with our new signings this man is the heartbeat of our team. Some much needed rest has done him a world of good and he has come back is dazzling form shown by his performance against Arsenal. The little Spaniard has a special connection on the pitch with Torres which has seen many goals been set up and scored by these two Spaniards.
Central Midfield/Pivot: John Obi Mikel & Ramires:
Mikel isn't the best passer, defender or attacker but he just gets the job done. He is a rock in our midfield and is starting to show his real potential. Ramires has shown in the past couple of games that he is disciplined enough to play in our midfield. He has shown that his is confortable in possesion, something which many critics doubted and is great going both forward and defending.
Left Back: Ashley Cole
Mr Reliable himself has made this position his own since he first moved to the club. He will face competition from promising youngster Ryan Bertrand in the future but for now the position is his to keep.
Left Centre Back: John Terry
Captain, Leader, Legend. Nothing more needs to be said
Right Centre Back: David Luiz
This is a tough decision but David Luiz gets the nod ahead of Gary Cahill. Gary Cahill is a very consistent performer, David Luiz is the opposite but on his day Luiz is one of the best centre backs in the world and has shut down world class forwards such as Edinson Cavani. Luckily for us David Luiz always seems to perform on the big stage and thats what sets him apart from Cahill.
Right Back: Branislav Ivanovic
Perhaps not his favoured position but he is our best option for the role. Good going forward and defends like a centre back he is a all round great player. Perhaps in the next couple of years Cesar Azpilicueta will take the RB off him but for now Branislav is the best option.
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech
One of the best keepers in the world and by far our best keeper currently at the club.
LINE-UP
Torres
Hazard-Oscar-Mata
Mikel-Ramires
Cole-Terry-Luiz-Ivanovic
Cech
Conclusion: The trio of Hazard, Oscar and Mata have to freedom to rotate all around the pitch while being a constant nuisance for the defenders. Mikel and Ramires provide the stability that allows that trio to do what they do best. In all this team has massive potential and can challenge on all fronts. As we see this team play together more ofter the telepathic communications will start to form making our attacks even more dangerous. A frightening thought for opposition teams.
fantastic line up....good analysis! !!.....wink!!! wink!!! (ernestbible)....

ReplyDeletei think that Lampard should start instead of Mikel. My opinion.
ReplyDelete@anonymous i agree with you... i should b Lampard instead of Mikel...
ReplyDeleteLampard scores goals, is the best penalty taker in the world, has great vision and passing and takes a good set piece. Not to mention that he is a legend, and one of the best players to have ever played in the Premier League. Why in the world should Mikel start ahead of him?
ReplyDeleteNo one doubts Lampards ability as a goal scoring midfielder, his paing ability or his legend status across enland. But age is gonna bee the deciding factor.
DeleteI also agree...lampard in for Mikel. Other than that, great side i think!!! :D blue is the colour!
ReplyDeleteWrote an article with this team at the start of august, glad you agree
