CFC Scouts Keeping Tabs on JOSÉ SALOMÓN RONDÓN GIMÉNEZ

In a quest to replace Didier and add some more excitement and firepower in the Blues attacking line up the CFC scouts are keeping close tabs on  Malaga CF’s José Salomón Rondón recent reports from Daily Mail and ESPN UK theorize.Rondón who signed for Málaga CF in 2010 for a record transfer fee of €3.5 million is is a Venezuelan footballer. The 22 year old striker stands  6feet and 3 inches tall has scored a whooping 25 goals from 67 appearences for Los Boquerones and 8 goals for his country.

 Chelsea scouts watched Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon play for Venezuela against Chile at the weekend.The 22-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 37 La Liga games last season, is valued at £20million and the London club see him as a replacement for Didier Drogba.

Rondon has scored 25 goals in two seasons since joining Malaga and was watched by scouts from the Blues on Sunday, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.The 22-year-old is seen as having the physical attributes to succeed in the Barclays Premier League, but his performance at the weekend did little to boost his prospects of a move, as Venenzuela slumped to a 2-0 home defeat.

According to reports from tribal football the Premier League is the perfect destination for the Malaga starlet. He’s been under the guidance of a Man United legend in Ruud and is represented by the father of a Blues star.

He told tribal football-

"I was surprised," recalled Rondon. "I was sure he would play on. I really believed he wanted to continue.

"I am proud and very happy to have worked and learned from him. You can't help but learn from a player of such status."

Rondon admits he could follow Van Nistelrooy out of Malaga, despite the promise of a Champions League campaign next season. The striker has less than two years to run on his current deal and has seen negotiations over an extension suddenly stall.

"There was talk at the beginning of the season, but nothing has been discussed since," revealed Rondon last week.

"Hopefully, if I'm still here, the problem has been resolved and if not, well, it has been a pleasure ...

"I can't tell you what will happen. Football takes many turns, you just don't know what will happen next."

Well Malaga are under pressure due to the new FFP rules and could give them some breathing space by letting the 20 million man leave the club..

Despite the doubters inside the club, Rondon is adamant his all-round game has improved over the last 12 months: "In the past I was just a goal scorer. But now I play more football. My development has definitely progressed.

"I feel I've improved my heading and my hold up play."

Rondon enjoys star status in Venezuela and is proud of the profile he gives his country playing in Europe.

"People say I have a high profile in South America. A lot of people talk about me - I just hope its all good! As a young person, I learned to listen and take advice. Hopefully when I come home, people see I haven't changed. Its important to always be respectful."

Chelsea and are London neighbours are now stepping up their pursuit is no coincidence. Rondon is in the process of gaining a European passport and expects his Spanish papers next year.The Hulk transfer anecdote is still in the balance and if Chelsea do step up they can easily acquire this prolific striker who could well be a big hit at the Bridge. A man-mountain at 6'3", the Venezuelan international is only 22 and would add a really physical, Didier Drogba-type player to the Blues.In recent seasons he has been of immense importance at the Anchovies.

In May 2011, Rondón contributed with one goal as Málaga came from behind at home to defeat Hércules CF 3–1.That was his 13th goal of the season, with which he surpassed the record of goals from a Venezuelan footballer in the Spanish top flight, previously held by Juan Arangothe the team finally escaped relegation, with the player finishing as its top scorer. So his record with Malaga speaks for himself and he could be some acquisition for the European Champions in their bid to rehabilitate the basic foundations of the club..

He is at "Money-Bags Malaga" and it will probably take a large enough fee to snatch the player but it would, in my opinion,it would be worth every penny.
