Chelsea Transfer News and Rumors 06 July 2012

Transfer News and Rumors Update 06 July 2012

» Maicon drops back to Brazil and says: 'If you have to go to Chelsea, I will' ~ Lancenet

There were rumors floating around last night that Maicon's agent was in London. As far as this report is concerned, Maicon is back in Brazil and will be joining Inter soon, for pre-
season.

» Chelsea ready to ramp up bid for Wigan's £10m-rated forward Moses ~ DailyMail

As was rumored earlier, Chelsea are supposedly looking to launch a higher bid for Moses. However, the interesting point is that Crystal Palace are bound to get 20% of his transfer fees. Another Hulk saga on the cards. Porto only own 85% of Hulk's rights.

» Frank Lampard Spotted at Los Angeles Galaxy Game ~ BleacherReport

No secret that LA Galaxy owner likes Lampard a lot. Couple of interesting points in the report. According to MLS rules, only 3 players can earn $350,000 annually in a team. LA has those spots occupied. So unless a player leaves, Lampard can't be signed. Most probably Lampard will see out his Chelsea contract.

» REAL MADRID JUGGLE FIGURES TO POACH LUKA MODRIC FROM CHELSEA BID ~ Express

This report claims, Real are looking to sell Kaka and bring in Modric. Also, it claims Modric prefers a move to Madrid. Spurs may well sell to Real than Chelsea, even if they bid lower.

» TOTTENHAM PLAYERS QUEUE TO QUIT AS ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS BECOMES NEW BOSS ~ Express

Nothing Chelsea related in there, except Modric is slated as one of the players ready to make an exit from White Hart Lane.

» ROBERTO DI MATTEO WON'T RULE OUT HULK MOVE ~ Express

RDM has not ruled out any more signings. Also, he denied commenting on Hulk's move to Chelsea, citing, it will affect the price negotiations. Moreover, Hulk's agent has said that his player's future would bode well if he signed for an EPL club.

» Who's next, Arsene? Chelsea target Theo could jump ship after RVP bombshell ~ DailyMail

Interesting twist to RVP's departure from the Emirates. Building on earlier rumors on Walcott to Chelsea,  the report suggests he could follow his captain and leave if not this year, then next year on a Bosman.

» Andriy Shevchenko set to snub MLS move for Chelsea role ~ Metro

There was another report yesterday suggesting the same. However, in this report from Metro, there is a quote, 'Shevchenko will do something under his good friend Roman Abramovich,' Rezo Chokhonelidze told TMW. Rezo is the president of his current club. It also has suggested that Sheva could take up youth coaching and scout eastern Europe.

» No Luiz as Brazil name squad ~ Soccer365

Luiz would have suffered a heartbreak on being left out of Brazil's Olympic squad. From a Chelsea perspective, he could join the squad for pre-season earlier than expected. Also, Hulk will be at Arsenal training ground as part of Olympic preparation.

» Olympics-Hulk named in Brazil soccer squad ~ Reuters

While compatriot Luiz misses out, Hulk has been selected as one of the players over 23. Whether Hulk's participation in the Olympics will have a bearing on his transfer, is to be waited and seen.

» Chelsea FC – Is The Daniel Sturridge Story Unraveling As It Was Expected To? ~ TheHardTackle

A very detailed report on Sturridge. Very good read too. After reading that, one would get the feeling that it is better for Sturridge to stay at Chelsea, for his sake and Chelsea's.

That is it for today's round up of Chelsea related Transfer News. Until next time, KTBFFH.
